Easter Egg Competition

What better way to celebrate the arrival of Easter than creating your very own Easter egg? Follow our handy step by step guide and then unleash your artistic talents to create an Easter egg masterpiece! You will need

    PVA glue

    Water

    Cup

    Balloon

    Newspaper

  • check

    Paints

  • check

    Felt tip pens, stickers, glitter and anything else you may want to use to decorate your egg!

Steps

Step 1

Whip up a magical potion by mixing equal parts water and PVA glue in a cup.

Inflate a balloon until it’s a big as an Easter egg!

Step 2

Shred newspaper sheets and dunk each one into your mix one by one, layering onto your balloon until it’s completely covered.

Step 3

Once the balloon is completely covered in newspaper, leave to dry

Step 4

Flip the Easter egg over and pop the balloon

Step 5

Let the painting begin! We suggest starting with a white base to give you a blank canvas to work on

Step 6

Decorate however you like! We have used the Maped Creativ blow art set to create a speckled, egg shell effect. You could use glitter, stickers, felt tip pens and crayons to complete your design!
