To start, cut the cardboard tubes into 4 parts, not necessarily equal. You’ll need 4 tubes if you’re using toilet paper rolls.
Then, add some colour to your spotting scope with your paints.
Once the paint has dried, cut each tube lengthwise.
Roll the tubes on themselves to obtain rolls of different diameters. This will allow you to nest them together.
Staple each roll to maintain the correct diameter.
Cut a wire to the exact length of your extended spotting scope.
Then pass the wire inside the spotting scope.
Staple the wire to each end of the spotting scope. In this way, the rollers can slide while remaining together.
Finally, personalise your cardboard spotting scope with markers, glitter glue or colouring chalk!
