Learn to draw a snake

We love learning to draw new things. You can learn to draw animals by following our tutorial, it’s an easy and fun activity to do whatever your ability. By drawing the outline of your hand, you can create lots of animals like a snake in the jungle.

You will need

White paper
Felt tip pens
Pencils
Colouring pencils

Steps

Step 1

Gather your materials.

Step 2

Place your closed left hand with the thumb out on a landscape white sheet of paper and trace the outline with a pencil.

Step 3

Turn your sheet around to portrait orientation. You have the outline of your snake. Can you see it?

Step 4

Draw a tongue, eyes and spots on your snake.

Draw the jungle in the background behind your snake.

Step 6

Colour in with your felt tip pens or colouring pencils. Your snake is complete!
