The leaves are orange, the conkers have fallen and the pumpkins are carved; October Half-term is officially here! As the little ones get more and more excited in anticipation for Halloween night, along comes another week of keeping them entertained whilst off from school. Compared to Spring or Summer, it can be even more challenging whilst outside can be so rainy and cold this time of year!
We have brought you our third installment in our Influencer-approved arts and crafts ideas, catered perfectly to this cosy time of year. We have teamed up with a few of our favourite Influencers to bring you a range of different arts and crafts ideas to help celebrate the spooky season and get creative!
Monster color’ peps colouring felts and pencils
New colouring pens and pencils always go down a treat, especially our Color’peps Monster collection for Halloween! Draw or print off a spooky picture and have a cosy afternoon in with hot chocolates, colouring with our color’peps favourites. Each Monster has their own, fun personality to keep them entertained whilst they colour! Watch our colouring reel for inspo!
Spooky animals
We absolutely love Nikki here at Maped Helix, and even during Halloween, she’s never short of great arts and crafts ideas! Watch her how-to reel for an easy step by step on creating this spooky and cute paper spider! They’ll love being able to display their Halloween creation proudly or taking it with them for trick or treating pranks!
Messy painting handprints
It’s Halloween, therefore there’s no better time to let your little monsters get a little bit messy! Read our how-to blog for creating our favourite spooky-inspired characters. All you’ll need is paint and their own hands to create some autumnal friends. Finish off your designs by cutting them out with scissors and bringing them to life with an animated face!
Halloween headbands!
Vicki is our absolute queen of all things crafts, and she has the perfect DIY Halloween costume idea for you! Watch her reel for a step by step to recreating this amazing headpiece for your little ones to wear whilst trick or treating, or even yourselves for a Halloween party!
Autumnal Hedgehog
This has been one of our favourite arts and crafts trends this year for Autumn and Nikki has once again, completely nailed this! As an added bonus for looking so creative and colourful, we love that you can recycle and incorporate the outdoors to create this beautiful little friend! Get everyone outside in the crisp, fresh air for a morning walk, collecting their favourite autumnal-coloured leaves. Then, simply using a toilet roll tube and some glue, create some cute and colourful hedgehog spikes!
We all hope you have a lovely and relaxing October Half Term, enjoying Halloween and all the fun activities that come with this wonderful time of year. Please do tag us in your arts and crafts creations as we love to see them, our next Influencer blog will be all things Christmas so please get in touch if you’d like to be involved!
